FANTASY TRUCK PULLERS RULES
2007 MODIFIED 2WD
1.
Must have front
and rear glass or Plexiglas.
2.
Any tire, any
rims, any alterations. Maximum tire size 18.4" x 16.1".
Maximum rim width 20".
3.
Engine limit -
530 CI (5 CI leeway)
4.
Multiple transmissions
allowed. No chain drive allowed.
5.
No nitrous oxide
or pressurized fuel allowed.
6.
Any camshaft,
single carb, intake manifold can be used, which must be of stock configuration.
Fuel injected engines allowed. No sheet
metal intakes.
7.
All safety
equipment required. All kill switches must shut off ignition and fuel pumps.
8.
Weight added to
vehicle must be securely fastened.
9.
Vehicle may not
be stripped beyond safe operating conditions - hood, fenders, and doors. Factory
box must have floor or cover.
10.
There must be a firewall between the motor and the
driver.
11.
Naturally
aspirated engines weight will be 6200# both classes. Hitch height 30".
12.
Aluminum heads
allowed. No hemi heads allowed.
13.
May use custom
frame. 180" center rear axle to farthest point forward, weights included.
Minimum 18" from rear axle to hook. Must have a clear hook. No weight
further than 12" from hook.
14.
Wheelie bars and
push bars required. Working reverse lights required.
15.
Must be factory
production truck. No T-buckets allowed.
16.
Hitch must be
rigid in all directions.
17.
No four valve
heads allowed.
18.
No 5" bore
space engines or heads.
19.
If alcohol fuel
is used, driver must wear full fire suit, fire gloves, fire shoes, and head
sock or full face helmet with built-in head sock.
20.
Trucks with
planetary rear end, drive shafts must be covered 360* with 5/16" min.
steel or 3/8" min. alum. Round material.
21.
The 180"
from the center of rear axle overall rule will apply to all TWD trucks, with
the exception of a 10" over-length allowance for cosmetic fiberglass
only. No steel structure, re-enforcement, or steel bumpers allowed past
180". Tow hook to be consistent with 180" rule. Note: this allowance
applies only to pickup truck-style bodies of the following models: 1994 Dodge
or newer; 1996 Fords or newer; and 1998 Chevy and/or GMC or newer.
22.
Kill switch must
be located in the rear center of the vehicle (maximum of 6 inches left or right
of center), maximum 24 inches above the point of hook. 2" steel ring
required.
23.
Side shields will
be required on all trucks. These must cover from bottom of block to top of
cylinder deck. Material to be a minimum of .060 steel or aluminum. Frame may
also act as shield.
24.
Motors will be pumped for cubic inch displacement.
(Vehicle owner must be present or have someone capable of removing the rocker
arm assembly- tech inspectors will not perform this task.)
